We have an announcement regarding the 2nd floor of our Bob's Box store, which has been closed for a while.
The second floor of bob's box will open on July 1, 2024 as "Otto Keramik Tokyo," the exclusive distributor in Japan of German pottery manufacturer Otto Keramik.

Otto Keramik is a historic pottery manufacturer that led the golden age of Fat Lava in West Germany.
All of our staff feel extremely honored to be able to make this announcement.
After the opening, the store will stock a wide range of items, from standard vases, planters, and candle stands to the popular "Bull" series of bull ornaments, which are also popular in Japan, as well as ceramic wall clocks, which are not widely available in Japan.
Please stay tuned for further information on opening hours and the online store.
[Otto Keramik]
Founded in 1964 by Otto Gerhartz, this pottery factory in Rheinbach, Germany, was one of the most influential manufacturers during the pottery boom and Fat Lava craze of the 1960s and 1970s.
Otto served as production director for Ruscha, a representative brand of Fat Lava, and invented various glazes. After going independent, Otto Keramik started from his home atelier.
All of the glazes used in the factory from its founding until 1978 were invented by Gerhartz.
The expressive colors and textures created by his carefully crafted glazes are still beloved by collectors around the world, and the company is currently run by his son, who has carried on his legacy.
Even today, it is made by hand with attention to detail.
They are one of the few manufacturers of artistic pottery that pushes the boundaries of glazes, colors and textures.
